Grade 4 Spring Concert — Monday May 13

There will be 2 spring concerts today at 10 a.m. and 7 pm. All performing students should arrive by 6:30 p.m. for the evening concert. All are welcome at the morning performance. You should have received your tickets for the evening performance.

Budget Presentation – Tuesday May 14 and Thursday May 16

Learn about the District’s budget plans on Tuesday at Sawmill at 9:45 a.m. or on Thursday at BURR at 8 p.m.

Camp Mariah 2nd Trip – Tuesday May 14

Remaining Grade 5 students will be participating in the all day outdoor education field trip to Camp Mariah.

All 5th Grade Parents should receive their Camp Mariah clothing orders in their child’s backpack this afternoon. The first Camp Mariah trip will take place on May 7th.

BURR PLANT SALE – Starts TODAY

The annual Student Council plant sale will start today. You should have received a schedule for your child’s shopping time last week.

Books for BUNKS Campaign — May 6 – 9

Donate gently used books for campers ages 8-15 through the Fresh Air Fund Summer Camp Program. Collection bins in the BURR Lobby.

National Teacher Appreciation Day –  Tuesday May 7

CLUBS Start Monday April 29, 2019

If you signed up for an extracurricular club before the holiday, all clubs begin this week. Check the club form for specific dates.

IMPORTANT: Camp Mariah T-Shirt Forms — DEADLINE TODAY

All orders MUST be in by today for shirt delivery on May 6. If you do not submit your form by today, you will not receive the shirts in time.

NYS grade 3-8 Math Tests — May 1 and May 2

Students will take the New York State math tests this week unless parents submit an opt-out form. To access the form on the Commack Schools District website, click here

Tuesday, April 16 – Fun Pack Picture Day

No preparation required! Dress your child in their favorite school clothes for a spring-themed photo op. If you like the pictures that come home in a few weeks, you can purchase them or, if not, send them back with no payment.

Wednesday, April 17 – Spring Registration for After School Clubs

Come by 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. OR 5:45 pm to 6:45 pm to sign up for Spring Session of Clubs. All clubs start the week of April 29. Packets were sent home via mail last week.

Thursday, April 18 – Last Day of School Before Spring Break
